Company Profile

Firefly Lighting Design is an award winning lighting consultancy formed by Peter Veale and John Lau in 2003. The team has over 50 years collective experience at the highest level of the architectural lighting design industry and has worked on both local and international projects.


We bring creativity, experience and professionalism to every project we undertake. Our expertise in designing lighting schemes for hotels, resorts, residential, retail and corporate projects allows us to work cohesively with architects, interior designers, audio-visual consultants, landscape designers and contractors.

For each client we assemble a specific team led by one of our directors. This ensures a high level of service is constantly maintained throughout the project.

International Experience

As well as lighting amazing buildings and spaces around the world, our staff have worked and lived in other countries making them familiar with the local codes and legislations.

Because of our experience in designing luminaires, we apply our technical knowledge in choosing the right luminaires for each lighting scheme.
