This three-storey penthouse refurbishment is now a shrine to the Art Deco movement. A host of luxurious materials was used by Key Interiors, which all required different lighting techniques. The frosted glass ‘cakes’ in the living room ceiling are backlit to give a gentle glow, while the blue tiles in the master bathroom are lit locally by lines of lights in concealed coves.
Custom pendants in the kitchen and above the dining table were also designed, giving a modern twist on traditional aesthetics.
This project won Best Residential Project in the British Lighting Design Awards 2009.
